Maasi Mara, Lamu
Wild romance meets Swahili charm — cliff-top savannah one moment, lantern-lit island alleyways the next.
For couples who want safari drama and island intimacy in one elegant flow. Start with the Mara’s wide skies and private tented luxury, then fly to Lamu — where time slows, wooden dhows glide at dusk, and rooftop dinners overlook a turquoise horizon. It’s slow, stylish, and unequivocally romantic.

A short scenic flight drops you on the Mara. Your guide meets you; the transfer to camp is already a warm welcome. Check in, enjoy a slow lunch, then a late-afternoon game drive as the plains soften into gold. Evening: a private, candlelit dinner under the stars.
Overnight: Entim / Kichwa Tembo / Angama Mara (family or honeymoon suites as chosen).
Early morning drive in the best light — predators, elephants, and long, cinematic views. Return for a leisurely brunch, then an afternoon of privacy: spa treatment, nap, pool or just time together. Finish with a private sundowner on a scenic kopje.
Choose a full-day safari with a gourmet picnic, or keep it intimate: morning drive, spa & pool, and a late-afternoon short game drive.
Optional balloon sunrise (pre-bookable) followed by champagne breakfast. Tonight, a quiet, private dinner for two.
After breakfast, fly Mara → Nairobi → Lamu. The island air is warm and calm. Transfer to your Shela or Lamu Town retreat. Walk lantern-lit alleys; the pace is deliciously slow. Sunset dhow sail with drinks — ocean & romance.
Overnight: Peponi Hotel / Banana House / Forodhani House / Manda Bay (depending on tier).
Sleep in, enjoy a slow breakfast, and choose: beach morning, guided island walk through historic stone town, or a private dhow to an empty sandbank.
Evening: rooftop dinner or private terrace dining with the sea as soundtrack.
Optional daytrip to the quieter islands (Manda, Kiwayu), snorkeling, or spa day. If you prefer culture, join a guided walk of Lamu Old Town — Swahili architecture, carved doors, and intimate cafés. Sunset dhow and seafood dinner.
One last slow breakfast, an easy transfer to the airstrip, and your flight back to Nairobi for onward plans. You leave quieter, closer, and with the sort of honeymoon memories that age well.
